Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Spendora, including our website, waitlist, mobile app, backend services, and related features. By creating an account, joining the waitlist, downloading the app, or using Spendora, you agree to these Terms.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Spendora. If you use Spendora on behalf of another person or organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms on their behalf.
Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
You may request account deletion through any in-app deletion flow we provide or by contacting support@spendorapp.com. You can also review deletion instructions at Delete Your Account. We may need to verify your identity before processing account deletion, and we may retain limited information where needed for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or enforcement of these Terms.
You may also delete selected app data without deleting your full account. For instructions, visit Delete Your Data.
Your Content and Data
You own the information you enter into Spendora, such as expenses, budgets, groups, notes, uploaded receipts, and profile information. You grant Spendora permission to process that information as needed to provide, secure, and improve the service.
You are responsible for the accuracy, completeness, legality, and backup of information you add to Spendora. Spendora may generate summaries, charts, categories, reminders, and reports from the information you provide, but those outputs may be incomplete or inaccurate if the underlying data is incomplete or inaccurate.
Financial Information and Decisions
Spendora is a personal organization and budgeting tool. It does not hold deposits, transmit money, provide loans, determine credit eligibility, execute trades, provide tax filings, or provide professional financial advice. Any budgets, spending summaries, reports, insights, reminders, or projections are for general informational and organizational purposes only.
Spendora does not currently connect to bank accounts, credit cards, brokerage accounts, or other financial institutions. If we add financial account connections in the future, your use of those features may be subject to additional terms, third-party terms, and consent flows.
Shared Groups and Split Expenses
If you use group, household, shared budget, or split-expense features, information you add to those shared spaces may be visible to other invited participants. Only add information you are comfortable sharing with those participants, and do not add another person's information unless you have permission to do so.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use Spendora for unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes.
- Attempt to access another user's account or data without permission.
- Interfere with, overload, reverse engineer, scrape, or disrupt Spendora or its infrastructure.
- Upload malicious code, illegal content, or content that infringes another person's rights.
- Misrepresent your identity or submit false, misleading, or unauthorized information.
- Use Spendora to harass, defraud, impersonate, or harm another person.
- Use Spendora to store or share another person's sensitive information without authorization.
Waitlist and Launch Communications
If you join the waitlist, you authorize Spendora to contact you about launch updates, early access, product news, and related notices. You may unsubscribe from marketing messages at any time.
Third-Party Services
Spendora may rely on third-party services for hosting, databases, analytics, email delivery, authentication, file storage, app stores, and other functionality. Your use of those services may also be subject to their terms and policies.
App Stores, Purchases, and Subscriptions
If Spendora is downloaded through Apple App Store, Google Play, or another app marketplace, your download and use may also be governed by that marketplace's terms. If Spendora offers paid features, subscriptions, trials, or in-app purchases, payment, renewal, cancellation, and refund rules may be handled by the applicable app store or payment provider unless we state otherwise.
Availability and Changes
Spendora is currently in development and may change over time. We may add, remove, suspend, or modify features at any time. We do not guarantee that the service will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
No Professional Advice
Spendora may show budgets, spending summaries, reports, and other finance-related information based on data you provide. This information is for organization and general informational purposes only, and it is not a substitute for professional advice. You are responsible for your own financial, tax, legal, accounting, spending, saving, investment, and credit decisions.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, retain, and protect information. By using Spendora, you acknowledge that your information will be handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
Disclaimers
Spendora is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Spendora will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, loss of goodwill, or service interruption, arising from or related to your use of Spendora.
Termination
You may stop using Spendora at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk for other users, or used the service unlawfully or abusively.
After termination, provisions that by their nature should survive will continue to apply, including sections about ownership, acceptable use, disclaimers, limitation of liability, privacy, and dispute-related matters.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users, such as updating the effective date or providing an in-app or email notice.
